On saying good bye

I haven’t had a chance to post here since leaving the Museum of Contemporary Australia (MCA) to take up the position as Head of Web and Digital Platforms at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA).

I look back my time at the MCA with happiness and pride. The team I was lucky enough to be a part of was responsible for a great many physical, digital and experiential successes. Audiences and awards flowed into the Museum.

In a strange twist of fate, I did an interview on Radio National’s Books and Arts Daily on my last day at the MCA – needless to say my mum was very proud. It doesn’t sum up the work I did at the MCA, but it does offer some insight into my thinking around the story-telling possibilities created by digitizing collections.

Those interested can read back through previous posts to see some of the highlights of my time at the MCA, it was amazing fun working on great content across web, mobile, phone & tablet apps, digital publishing, video & audio production, augmented reality, indoor location tracking, social media, print, digital signage, public talks, epic parties and, hopefully, compelling in-gallery experiences.

Now, to San Francisco.
